CAMPUS LIFE

When I was almost done with my high school exams, I had this dream of joining campus because I had this dream of being a Journalist. I also heard stories about the University life style and I missed the experience that some friends of mine used to tell me about University.

Later my dream came into true and I got the enrolment in the only University at the sea level in coastal area of Mombasa. I had this fear of joining the University because I knew no one in the University. It was a new experience of moving away from my family members, friends, leaving away from home, meeting new friends and managing my own time.

 

I was able to get a roommate which for me it was a challenge because she was a person that I never knew earlier and we are not related. I used to run the risk of being with someone who for sure I can call her a stranger to me because I never knew her earlier.  I found it challenging to interact and stay with her.

Later, I came to realize that campus life was the most enjoyable thing ever in part of my life becausee basically I live by my own instructions, I dress for my own instructions, and also attending the classes without anyones guidelines.

I really faced one challenge that I can say I will never forget because my beloved mother passed away this year which it is my second year I  the university. That was a very challenging time for me to withstand with the situation. My campus friends stood with me and Later I was okay though it took some time.

Campus life it has never being hard nor smooth.Mostly we get some harder challenges in campus due to lack of lunch or supper which we call it "Kuinama". That's the hardest challenge in campus that the students face.

When I joined campus I was able to meet many friends from different places but there's this one friend from Nyanza province who Later became a sister to me. She usually makes my University life run smooth because we exchange academic ideas,   the challenges we face and we came up with solutions Later. For sure campus life I can say it has ups and downs but when you have a good friend and help you coop with the lifestyle in the University.
