Popular Roles of Youths in Kenya

When we talk of the youths we are basing on people of the age of 18 to 35 and in Kenya they are the people with the largest population and literally the highest percentage of them are unemployed and they always feel marginalised in terms of job opportunities.

The government of Kenya have tried to empower the youths through creating job opportunities to them, establishing the national youth Council body to represent them in the government and it had established some affirmative action funds even for the people living with disabilities.

When we majorly base our topic on youths, there are many challenges that the youths in Kenya are facing in nowadays economy. Some of the challenges include-;

1.Education

Poverty and lack of facilities has led many youths to drop out of school.Most of the institutions based on government don't have enough essentials to offer the best to the students for challenges in market demand.

2. Crime and drugs

In Kenya most drug and substance abuse among the youths have remained the most popular abuse substances in the country. The abuse of drugs is highly associated in the spread of HIV/AIDS and the sexually transmitted diseases and also insecurities in the country.

3.Employment

According to Google there are about 500,000 youth who graduate every year from various institutions to enter job market yearly but most of them end up being unemployed.

4.Empowerment

Youth empowerment is the greatest challenge youths are facing in today's economy. Young people needs a good working platform whereby they can speak powerfully and take good action.

5.Health

Based on health, this has became the major issue among the youths.This is because mental health is increasing day by day and becoming a popular issue among the youths. Most depression is killing many youths  everyday.
